Register totals layouts

File Reports/Views/<Name>.view.json, envelope kind: ReportView.
configJson is a string, not an object. The layout caption is one English string: the list on the totals tab shows it.
groupBy is a dimension field name or an analytic name (Customer,
SalesContract, Supplier), not a caption. The resource is the resource fieldName
(Amount, Qty).
An empty variable caption is shown as the column kind name
(opening balance, income, expense, closing balance) in the interface language. If the same kind is used for two resources, the resource caption is placed before the kind. An explicit caption stays as it is. nonZeroBalance: true hides a line whose closing balance for every resource column is zero.

A layout is also a column set#
The dashboard Total widget reads these same views, but only their
variables — picking one in the widget's settings copies the columns and
leaves the period, grouping and display mode alone. A view saved for one object
can be applied to another (the «all available sets» tick): the reader reports
the resources the target does not offer rather than drawing them as zeros. One
parser serves both callers — frontend/src/pages/registers/reportVariableSets.ts.

A layout does not pick a reporting currency. To print a turnover in a currency
other than the register's, convert a single-currency slice with
ICurrencyRateService.ConvertMoneyAsync — exchange rates.
