ReceivableRevaluation

Updated

A receivable revaluation restates foreign-currency customer debt at the rate on the document date. It does not change the amount owed in the contract currency. Payables are not on this document; that is PayableRevaluation. There is no combined AR/AP revaluation. The next payment measures its realised difference against the new carrying value.

Commands and states#

State Command What happens
Draft Fill revaluation Lists every open foreign-currency customer × contract of the legal entity at the rate on the document date.
Draft Post revaluation Posted. Moves Receivable AmountFunc by Difference.
Posted Cancel revaluation Back to Draft.

Fill revaluation (FillReceivableRevaluation) and Post revaluation (PostReceivableRevaluation) are bound to Draft. Cancel revaluation (CancelReceivableRevaluation) is bound to Posted and asks for confirmation. Posted is read-only. The stored captions match the names: Draft, Posted.

A zero Difference writes no movement. Saving the card does not post it.

Registers#

On Posted:

  • Receivable resource AmountFunc plus Difference, by customer and sales contract (ReceivableRevaluationTx). Contract-currency Amount is not moved.
  • GL when Legal entity is set and accounting settings exist (ReceivableRevaluationGLTx): gains debit receivables and credit the exchange-gain account; losses debit the exchange-loss account and credit receivables. Gains and losses of different contracts are two sums, not netted. Empty FX accounts write no ledger legs; the register still moves.
