Production makes a product from a bill of materials. Costing is how the warehouse values that stock. In this app you can:
- Create a bill of materials
- Create a work center
- Create a shift calendar
- Produce an item from a bill of materials
- Fill a routing
- Confirm operations
- Schedule operations
Saving a Draft production order reserves the components. Release to shop writes them off. Finish production receives the product.
How to#
To make a product from a bill of materials:
- Create a bill of materials, Create a work center, and Create a shift calendar.
- Fill a routing if operations need a work center and minutes.
- Produce an item from a bill of materials — save a Draft. Components are reserved.
- Press Release to shop. Components leave stock.
- Press Finish production. The product arrives.
Until you press the command on each card, that document stays a draft.
