Item, Amount, and EffectiveFrom are required. ID comes from StandardCostSeq, which starts at 1000 and steps by 1. Amount must not be negative. Effective from must not be after Effective to. Empty Effective to leaves the row open. Two windows of the same item that overlap will not save.
This dictionary is not how costing reads the plan today. The live planned unit is the price history of Standard cost price type on CostingSettings. FIFO and average still take issue cost from ItemCostFifo, not from these rows. How issues are valued is Costing method — that page is the method, not these rows. There is no ribbon list for this dictionary, no standard per store, and no standard per unit of measure on this card.
