A tax return is a snapshot of TaxLedger for one legal entity and period. Filing freezes the snapshot. Payment is a separate document and does not change this one.

Return mappings#
TaxReportMapping, caption Tax report mappings. Menu Tax → Dictionaries → Return mappings. Build return copies Return box onto lines from these rows. Boxes are data, not hardcode. A directed mapping beats an undirected one for the same code.

ID comes from TaxReportMappingSeq, which starts at 1000 and steps by 1. Empty Direction matches any direction. Return type is which form (VAT-SA, VAT-UA). Two country packs can map the same code to different boxes. Empty Effective to leaves the row open. The tax on the mapping must be the tax of the code.
Commands and states#

File tax return (FileTaxReturn) is bound to Draft. Filed is read-only. The stored captions match the names: Draft, Filed.
Build return lives on TaxPeriod, not on this card. It creates the draft.
Registers#
None. TaxReturnTransactions writes no movement. Tax already entered TaxLedger from TaxCalculation. Filed only freezes the snapshot.
