PurchaseReturn
Updated
A purchase return sends goods back and reduces the net supplier debt. It does not reverse input VAT and it does not change the purchase order.

Commands and states#
| State | Command | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Post purchase return | Posted. Stock decreases at the return cell. Payable falls by the net line amount. |
Posted is read-only. Input VAT is unchanged. The original purchase order stays Received.
Registers#
On Posted: Stock minus quantity, by item and cell. Purchases minus the same quantity and net amount, by supplier and item. Payable minus the net line amount, by supplier, and by legal entity and supplier contract when those are set. PayableByBasis minus the same net amount, by supplier and original order. When ledger settings exist and the return cell has a legal entity, the journal debits payables and credits inventory for that net amount.
