Create a delivery term
Updated
Create a delivery term when a deal needs an Incoterm: EXW, FOB, DAP. Saving the card stores that term; it does not move freight, risk, or tax.
Note
Save writes no debt and no ledger. The term is global master data, not a country pack. Choosing a term on a document does not change freight, risk, or tax. A sales contract can name it — Create a sales contract.
How to#
To create a delivery term, open Ribbon → Common → Dictionaries → Delivery terms.
Press New. Fill Code and Name. Save. The card receives an ID and the row appears in Delivery terms. Debt stays as it is.
Code is required, unique, up to 16 characters. On Save it is trimmed and stored in capitals: type dap, the card shows DAP. Name is required, up to 256 characters, and can be translated.
Then a sales contract, sales order, sales realization, or sales quotation can pick this Delivery term. On a new contract, pick it in Delivery term.
Example
- Code store
- Name Customer warehouse pickup
Save. The list shows STORE. Freight, risk, and tax on later documents stay as they were. A second card with Code STORE or store is refused.
Tip
The code is not checked against an Incoterms list: a house code still saves. EXW, FOB, and DAP are already in the list on a typical stand. Pick another Code when you need a house term.
