Create a division type
Updated
Create a division type when a division needs a role such as office, plant, warehouse, or sales point. Fill Code and Name first; a later division picks this type.
Note
There is no extra button after Save. Saving writes no payroll and no stock. The type does not create a warehouse and does not restrict who may later point at a division.
How to#
To create a division type, open Ribbon → Organization → Dictionaries → Division types.
Press New. Fill Code and Name. Save. The card receives an ID and the row appears in Division types. Pay and stock stay as they are.
Code must be unique. There is no extra button after Save.
Then open Ribbon → Organization → Dictionaries → Divisions and pick this Division type on the unit that has that role — Create a division.
Example
- Code OFFICE
- Name Office
Save. Repeat with PLANT / Plant, WAREHOUSE / Warehouse, and SALESPOINT / Sales point. A later division picks one of these in Division type.
Tip
A warehouse type does not create a store. Create the division, then a store that points at it — Create a store. If Code is already used, open that type, or pick another Code.
