FiscalYear
Updated
A fiscal year is a date window that FiscalPeriod rows hang off. Postings pick a period by date, not this year. Closed is a stored flag. The event handler only calls next; it does not close the year.

Code, StartDate, and EndDate are required. ID comes from FiscalYearSeq, which starts at 1000 and steps by 1. Empty Closed is false: the year is open as a field value, and no posting service reads it.
There are no commands on this card. Closed is edited on the record. The handler is a template: every override only calls next.
Period open and close live on FiscalPeriod field Status. Only Open accepts movements. Closing a period can revalue foreign-currency debt when Revalue on period close is on in AccountingSettings. That is period close, not year close.
This dictionary is not hierarchical. This dictionary writes no register.
Closing a year does not roll income and expense into retained earnings. No service reads or sets Closed.
