Remove an old package
Updated
An old .zulopkg can leave the library only when it is installed nowhere — not on Production, not on Test, not on Development.
Note
Deleting the package removes its file and its line in the library. It does not uninstall it from a stand. If Production still runs that version, the delete form is not there.
The portal is lcp.getzulo.com. Its buttons are in English.
How to#
To remove an old package, sign in at lcp.getzulo.com and open the tenant. Under Asset library, open Packages, then the version you want gone.
Read Installed on. If any environment is listed, install a newer package on each of those stands first — Ship a package — until this version is Nowhere.
When the package is installed nowhere, Delete this package appears. Type the version to confirm. Press Delete plus the package id and version.
You cannot delete Production from the portal. You also cannot delete a package that Production still runs. To drop a Test stand that still holds the old version, open that environment and Delete it (type its slug) — Deploy a Test environment describes that button.
Example
Version
1.3.0sits onacme-testand nowhere else. Production already runs1.4.0.Install
1.4.0onacme-test(or deleteacme-test). Open1.3.0, type1.3.0, press Delete. The library no longer lists 1.3.0.
Tip
Keep the last Ready package until the next one has been on Production long enough that you will not roll a Test copy back to it.
If the command refuses#
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Delete this package is missing | The package is still installed somewhere, or you cannot write. Check Installed on. |
| Only a package installed nowhere can be deleted. | Install a newer version on every listed environment, or delete the Test/Development stand that still holds it. |
| Type-the-version field rejects the delete | Type the version exactly as in the heading, then press Delete. |
| Installed on says Unknown right now | Wait until the portal can read the stands, then try again. Do not guess. |
