Create a customer outlet
Updated
Create a customer outlet when that customer has a ship-to: a shop, a warehouse, or another address the van visits. The outlet is the place; commercial terms live on the contract.
Note
Save posts no debt, tax, or stock. Payment term, price type, currency, and settlement are on the contract, not here — Create a sales contract. The customer must already exist — Create a customer.
How to#
To create an outlet, open Ribbon → Sales → Dictionaries → Customer outlets.
Press New. Fill Name. Pick Customer. Save. The outlet is in the list, and ID is issued and read-only. The outlet is a ship-to of that customer.
Address, Phone, Contact, and Working hours can stay empty. Contact must be a contact of this same customer. Leave Disabled off.
Latitude and Longitude can wait. Fill them when a delivery route should pin this outlet.
Then a sales order that names this customer can pick this Outlet. A contract with an empty Contract outlets list already covers this outlet; add a row on the contract only when that contract should cover a subset.
Example
Customer Podil Grocery is already stored.
- Name Podil Grocery Khreshchatyk
- Customer Podil Grocery
Save. The list shows the outlet. A sales order still needs a contract of Podil Grocery. Payment term is not on this card.
Tip
One customer can have several outlets. The van uses Latitude and Longitude when you run a delivery trip; an empty pin still saves.
If the command refuses#
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The save says to fill Name | Fill Name. |
| The save says to pick Customer | Pick Customer. Create that party first if the picker is empty. |
| The save lists Name and Customer as required | Fill both. |
| The save says Contact must belong to the same Customer as the outlet | Pick a Contact of this Customer, or leave Contact empty. |
| The sales order has no Outlet to pick | Return here, Save this card, then open the order again. |
| You expected prices or a payment term on this card | Those fields are on the contract. |
