Purchasing
Updated
Purchasing takes a supplier order from a draft to received stock and a payable. In this app you can:
- Create a supplier
- Fill a supplier contract
- Approve a purchase order
- Place a purchase order
- Receive on Place order
- Enter a supplier invoice
- Pay a vendor
- Receive a supplier refund
- Return goods and a credit note
Stock and the supplier payable are posted when the order is Received, not when it is placed, unless Auto-receive on order is on.
How to#
To buy, then sell, from order to payment:
- Place a purchase order — Place order, then Receive order (or Place order alone when auto-receive is on).
- Pay a vendor — Pay vendor. The purchase order stays Received.
- Approve an order — Submit order, then Approve order. A sales realization appears in Reserved. There is no debt and no tax yet.
- Issue a realization — Release realization. Stock leaves, and the customer owes the total.
- Receive a payment — Receive payment. The sales realization stays Released.
A payment is always a separate document. Until you press the command on each card, that document stays a draft.
