A bill of materials names the product and how much one run yields. Components hang off this card. Expand bill of materials on a production order copies them onto the order.

Bom, Component, and QtyPer are required. Empty Qty unit means Qty per unit is already in the item's base unit. Explode on means expand that component's own bill instead of taking it from stock.
