SupplierPriceSetting

Updated

A supplier price setting gives one supplier its own purchase prices from the document date. Posting writes them to the item's price history bound to that supplier; nothing is posted to a register.

PriceType must be a Base type with Direction Purchase. Choosing Supplier fills an empty Price type with the supplier's purchase type; Post supplier prices stamps it when it is still empty, falling back to Default purchase price type of the inventory settings.

Picking Item fills an empty Unit with the item's base unit and an empty Price with the supplier's price in effect on the document date. An empty Unit at posting means the base unit.

Commands and states#

State Command What happens
Draft Post supplier prices Posted. Each line becomes the supplier's price of the item and unit from the document date. The supplier's running price closes on that date; a later price already set keeps its date.

Posted is read-only. There is no command back to Draft: a wrong price is corrected by a new setting with a later or the same date.

Price history#

Posting writes rows of PriceTypeHistory (LT_PriceTypeHistory) with Supplier set. Such a row is the supplier's own price: it wins over the price of the same type for everyone, only for that supplier, and its window never clashes with the general row of the same item, unit and type. Receiving a purchase order at another unit price writes the same kind of row from the receipt date.
