Model

A model is one deliverable of the business layer: a top-level folder, a model.json, a version, a layer, a menu. Everything you create lives in some model.

The kernel page Models and layers is the architecture. This page is the kind: what a model is as a metadata object.

• metaId of the model is the modelId of every object inside it. On the model itself modelId is zeros.
• modelVersion is semver. The tenant skips an equal version.
• dependencies is an authoritative collection: an edge removed from the file is removed from the database.
• Core is not declared as a dependency.

Layer 0 is System (Core). You do not create that model. Core/ in the workspace is a read-only copy the export rewrites.

A new dictionary, document, register, form, or command without a menu item in this model is installed and invisible.
