Create a work center

Create a work center when a routing step needs a place to run: a packing line, a bench, a labelling station. The routing operation names this card.
Note
There is no extra button after Save. Saving does not schedule days and does not confirm a shift. A routing names this center — Fill a routing. Confirming a shift is Confirm operations.
How to#
To create a work center, open Ribbon → Production → Dictionaries → Work centers.
Press New. Fill Name. Hourly rate, Capacity, min/day, Machines, and Shift calendar can stay empty. Leave Disabled off. Save. The card receives an ID and the row appears in Work centers. Nothing is scheduled. Stock stays as it is.
Empty or 0 Capacity, min/day declares no ceiling. Empty or 0 Machines means 1. A filled Shift calendar skips closed days and ignores Capacity, min/day. An empty calendar applies Capacity, min/day every day.
Hourly rate is used when a confirmed operation names no Operator. The operator's position Hourly rate wins when it is set.
Tick Disabled later when the center is no longer used: the card stays for history.
Then open Ribbon → Production → Dictionaries → Routings. On Operations, pick this center in Work center. Until Expand bill of materials has run on a Draft production order, the order has no operations to confirm.
Example
The stand already has Gift box packing line (Hourly rate 85, Capacity, min/day 480, Machines 2).

Save. Empty Machines means 1. Empty Shift calendar applies 480 minutes every day. A later operation confirmed at 90 minutes with no Operator costs 1.5 × 40 = 60.
Tip
Fill Shift calendar when the working week is already in Shift calendars. Do not fill Capacity, min/day expecting it to apply on top of a calendar: the calendar wins. Rates that cost labour live here or on the operator's position, not on the routing.
If the command refuses#
