Updated
A loyalty tier is a step on the points ladder. The accumulated LoyaltyPoints balance selects the tier. The tier sets the write-off limit, the standing discount, and the earn rate.

Discount, % must be from 0 through 100. Earn rate must not be negative. Empty or zero Earn rate inherits CRMSettings Loyalty points per currency unit. The reached tier is the row with the highest Minimum points that is still at or below the customer's balance. The tier is not stored on the customer.

No object stores a LoyaltyTier field. LoyaltyRedemption reads the ladder when Redeem points runs. SalesRealization stamps Discount, % on issue when the header discount is still empty, and uses Earn rate when awarding LoyaltyPoints.
