Create a store
Updated
Create a store when you need a warehouse to receive, hold, or pick goods. Stock is counted by cell, not by the store as a whole.
Note
Save on the store posts no stock. It also does not create a zone or a cell. Simple store does not create one either. A yard of receiving, storage, and picking cells is created only when Enforce warehouse tasks is on, under Ribbon → Inventory → Settings → Inventory settings.
How to#
To create a store, open Ribbon → Inventory → Dictionaries → Stores.
Press New. Fill Name. Pick Division. Tick Simple store when this warehouse does not need rows, racks, and shelves. Inventory agent and Sales point can stay empty: Inventory agent is a supplier, and Sales point marks a shop floor. Save. The card receives an ID and the row appears in Stores. On-hand quantity is still zero.
A receipt, a pick, a transfer, and a count name a cell, not this store. If the warehouse needs addressing, add a zone, a cell type, and a cell next.
Open Ribbon → Inventory → Dictionaries → Store zones. Press New. Fill Name. Pick Store. Tick Barcode tracking when this zone tracks barcodes; leave it off when it does not. Save. The zone belongs to that store.
Open Ribbon → Inventory → Dictionaries → Cell types. Press New. Fill Code and Name. Leave Purpose empty, or pick Receiving, Storage, or Picking. Save. Empty Purpose keeps the cell out of warehouse-task checks.
Open Ribbon → Inventory → Dictionaries → Storage cells. Press New. Pick Zone and Cell type. Fill Name. Fill Line, Rack, Shelf, and Cell. Capacity (max qty) can stay empty. Save. The cell is what later stock documents point at.
When the warehouse has no rows, racks, or shelves, still use one zone and one cell, with Line, Rack, Shelf, and Cell set to 1.
Example
Division Riyadh Distribution already exists on the stand.
- Name Jeddah Transit
- Division Riyadh Distribution
- Simple store on
Save. The store has no stock. Then address it:
- Zone Floor on Jeddah Transit
- Cell type Code STG, Name Storage, Purpose Storage
- Name A-01-01
- Line 1
- Rack 1
- Shelf 1
- Cell 1
A purchase order can then name A-01-01 as the receiving cell. The demo warehouse Riyadh Central Warehouse is the same pattern with zones Receiving, Reserve storage, and Picking, and cell R-01-01-01.
Tip
If Enforce warehouse tasks is already on when you save the store, the store receives three cells named RCV-01, STG-01, and PCK-01. Turning the flag on later builds that yard on stores that still have none. Turning it off leaves cells as they are.

Fill the required fields: Division |

Fill the required fields: Cell type |
Pick a Cell type. Create it under Cell types first. |
Fill the required fields: Line, Rack, Shelf, Cell |
Enter a number in each. A warehouse without racks uses 1 in all four. |
| Save error: a record with that Code already exists — the value must be unique | On a cell type, change Code. |
| Save succeeded, but a receipt has no cell to land in | The store still has no cell. Add a zone and a cell, or turn Enforce warehouse tasks on and Save inventory settings. |
| Store zones, Cell types, or Storage cells is not on the ribbon | Those lists live under Ribbon → Inventory → Dictionaries. If the item is still missing, the role cannot open that list. |
