Create a shift calendar

Updated

Create a shift calendar when a work center does not work the same minutes every day: a Sun–Thu week, a two-shift weekday, a closed Friday. Saving the card stores the week; it does not write days on a production order.

Note

There is no extra button after Save. Saving writes no schedule. Days on an order are written later — Schedule operations.

How to#

To create a shift calendar, open Ribbon → Production → Dictionaries → Shift calendars.

Press New. Fill Name. Fill the weekday fields Monday, min … Sunday, min with the working minutes of one machine. Zero or empty minutes close that weekday. Save. The card receives an ID and the row appears in Shift calendars. Nothing is scheduled.

A work center that names this calendar takes its daily capacity from it times Machines. Without a calendar, Capacity, min/day on the work center applies every day. Empty or 0 Machines means 1. Pick the calendar on the work center — Create a work center.

Then fill Calendar exceptions on this card. Each row needs Shift calendar and Date. Minutes can stay empty; zero Minutes is a holiday. Note can stay empty. Save. One row per calendar and date. The dated row wins over the weekday. The same list also opens from Ribbon → Production → Dictionaries → Calendar exceptions.

Example

The stand already has Standard week (Sun–Thu) (Sun–Thu 480, Fri and Sat 0).

  • Name Two shifts Mon–Fri
  • Monday, min … Friday, min 960
  • Saturday, min empty
  • Sunday, min empty

Save. Empty Saturday and Sunday close those days. Gift box packing line with this calendar and Machines 2 has 960 × 2 = 1920 minutes on a Monday. Then on Calendar exceptions:

  • Shift calendar Standard week (Sun–Thu)
  • Date 2026-09-23
  • Minutes 0
  • Note Saudi National Day

Save. That day is closed.

Tip

Save the calendar before you add Calendar exceptions on this card. A positive Minutes on an exception opens an overtime Saturday or a short pre-holiday shift. Fill Shift calendar on the work center after this card exists; do not fill Capacity, min/day expecting it to apply on top of a calendar.
