Updated
A vendor payment reduces payable. It does not change the purchase order.

ID |
Number | number sequence |
LegalEntity |
Legal entity | LegalEntity |
CashDesk |

A payment uses a cash desk or a bank account, not both. Both empty is allowed: payable still falls, and no desk or bank balance moves.
Table parts#
Lines are VendorPaymentLines.
| Field | Caption | Points at |
|---|---|---|
Supplier |
Supplier | Supplier |
Amount |
Amount | decimal, must be greater than zero |
Basis |
Basis | the purchase order being settled; empty means an advance |
ExchangeRate |
Exchange rate | decimal, stamped on save |
CarryingAmount |
Carrying amount | decimal, stamped on save |
Contract |
Supplier contract | SupplierContract |
Empty Supplier contract with a Basis is copied from that order on save when the order is this supplier's and the order has a contract. Empty with no basis writes no contract slice.
Commands and states#
| State | Command | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Pay vendor | Paid. Payable falls by each line amount for that supplier, and for the supplier contract when the line has one. |
Paid is read-only. The command refuses both a cash desk and a bank account, and it refuses a supplier billed in another currency than the desk or the account.
Registers#
On Paid:
Payableminus Amount, by supplier. Legal entity is an analytic when the header has one. Supplier contract is an analytic when the line has one.PayableByBasisminus Amount, by supplier and basis. An empty basis is the advance slice. Supplier contract is an analytic when the line has one.CashBalanceminus the total, when Cash desk is set.BankBalanceminus the total, when Bank account is set.
The ledger entry is written only when Legal entity is set and accounting settings exist: debit payables, credit cash. The cash account is the desk's, the bank account's, or the cash account from accounting settings when both are empty. A foreign-currency line debits payables at the carrying amount and credits cash at the payment-date conversion; the gap is an exchange gain or loss when those accounts are set.
Ukraine localization also adds Amount to Paid out on UaPurchaseFirstEvent, by legal entity and supplier.
