Hand in agent cash

Track the cash a sales person collected from customers, and move it into a cash desk when the cashier counts it.
Note
Handing over does not move money. Only Accept cash does. Until the cashier accepts, the amount stays on the agent in Cash with agents. A rejected handover moves nothing.
How to#
When an agent takes cash from a customer, record a customer payment with Collected by agent set to that sales person. Leave Cash desk and Bank account empty: the money is with the agent, not in a desk. Receive payment lowers the customer's debt and raises the agent's balance in Cash with agents.
To see who holds how much, open Ribbon → Sales → Registers → Cash with agents.
To hand the cash in, open Ribbon → Sales → Field → Agent cash handovers and press New. Fill Agent, then press Fill what the agent holds to copy the agent's balance into Amount, or type a smaller Amount. The agent, or the office on the agent's behalf, presses Hand over to cash desk. The state becomes Handed over. Nothing has moved yet.
The cashier counts the cash, fills Cash desk, and presses Accept cash. The state becomes Accepted. The agent's balance falls by Amount and the desk balance rises by the same amount. If the cash did not arrive or does not match, the cashier writes why in Notes and presses Reject. The cash stays on the agent.
Example
The agent collects 1,200 from one kiosk and 800 from another, with no cash desk on either payment.
- Cash with agents for that agent: 2,000
Handover: Fill what the agent holds gives Amount 2,000. Hand over to cash desk, then the cashier fills Cash desk Main till and presses Accept cash.

Tip
A payment the agent pays straight into a cash desk (with Cash desk filled) never sits on the agent. When Legal entity is set on the handover and the desk has its own ledger account, the ledger moves the amount from the default cash account of the accounting settings to that account.
If the command refuses#
